In 2005 the world community is marking a memorable date, the 60th anniversary of the United Nations.The UN is one of the leading international organizations in terms of knowledge - sharing. The multilingualism is one of the major principles of the UN family’s work. UN agencies, working in different spheres in the Russian Federation, translate into Russian and publish books, brochures, booklets and other information materials, including multimedia products. Having collected all these, the UN office in the Russian Federation and the Russian State Library are launching the book exhibition “The UN at 60: A System that works for you”. The opening ceremony will take place on March 16th, at 12 am, in the premises of the Russian State Library (Vosdvizhenka, 3/5). The book exhibition will be on display for several weeks.
